  1. I know a magician is never meant to reveal is secrets, but would you reveal your film recipe? You make Tri-X look exactly how Tri-X should look and I’d love to know how. If not, I understand. Great work, you’re truly inspiring.

    • Hi! No secrets for me. The only thing I do is shoot Tri-X at its normal sensitivity, develop it in Rodinal (or Adonal, that is the same) for 10 – 11 minutes at 20 degrees. As for the agitation, what I do is I flip the tank “over and back” continuously for the first 15 seconds of the first minute, and then three times at the beginning of each new minute. Once fixed and dried, I scan it with my flatbed Epson as indicated in my dedicated blog post. Easy 🙂 By the way, your nickname Daidoraki seems to be the fusion of the names of two of my very favorite photographers… Not casual, I guess..
